Propebela rufa from the Isles of Scilly

Propebela rufa (Montagu, 1803) of the family Mangeliidae has a rather limited distribution range in the North-eastern Atlantic Ocean (Celtic Sea). Shells can be found sporadically in shallow water, yet rarely in fine condition as the specimen pictured here (size 10,0 mm, LDK molluscan collection). The shell is now also index picture at Eddie Hardy's website www.gastropods.com.
